Aston-Mechanics® Certification Training for Pilates Instructors
(Aston®/Pilates III)
Once Pilates instructors have the basics of Aston-Mechanics, Aston/Pilates I, and Aston/Pilates II, the certification program offers:
- Introduction to the Aston® system of palpation to assess hypo/hyper tone mobility
- Training in teaching, modifying, creating new movement patterns specific to individual current need or limitation
- Application of these lessons to both Pilates equipment and mat exercises
- Advancement of basic actions: stance, gait, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling skills into more complex applications
- Supervision and assistance for student teaching labs
Aston® Pilates Certification Training & Evaluation
Aston® Pilates Certification Training & Evaluation (13 days)
Once Pilates Instructors have the basics of Aston-Mechanics (ATI & ATII), the certification program offers:
An introduction to the Aston® system of palpation to assess hypo/hyper tone mobility.
Training in teaching, modifying, and creating new movement patterns specific to an individual's current need or limitation.
An application of these lessons to both Pilates equipment and mat exercises.
An advancement of basic actions: stance, gait, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling skills into more complex applications.
Supervision and assistance for student teaching labs.
Day 13 of the course, the Evaluation Practical, completes the certification and enables the student to use Aston® Trademarks and receive referrals and promotion by Aston Paradigm Corporation. The evaluation will consist of demonstrating teaching and problem solving skills with clients.
Cancellation Policy: If you chose to cancel a confirmed class, a $100 processing fee will be withheld from your refund. If you cancel 14 days or more before the scheduled class date, 50% of the class fee will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 14 days notice, we cannot issue refunds but you may send someone eligible in your place.
